Proposed Topic Title: Tax Certainty in Uncertain Times: A Regional Perspective and Practical Insights on 21st Century Tax Controversy

Outline: Given that Subject 2 at the Cape Town Congress will focus on practical approaches to international tax dispute prevention and resolution, we propose holding a complimentary seminar briefly exploring how tax dispute prevention mechanisms (such as APAs, ICAP, joint audits) are working in practice in the regions, share practical insights into how taxpayers can prepare for / avoid tax controversy and discuss the role and importance of taxpayers’ rights in the current tax controversy landscape.
